These thoughts are not based in academic understanding but rather based in agricultural ideas and that of Alchemy. Sucellos in some aspects is thought to be a Deuos who creates, maintains and defends boundaries.
Less commonly mentioned gnosis is the idea that Sucellos can destroy boundaries. As this could symbolize the breaking down of barriers between individuals or the dissolution of divisions that are no longer necessary. This aspect may represent transformation and change. While not a widely recognized attribute of Sucellos, the concept of revealing true intentions could symbolize a deeper spiritual meaning. It might signify the forces of truth and justice, where hidden motives and intentions are brought to light.
Lets go a little deeper
The destruction of boundaries by Sucellos could symbolize transformation and change. In nature, boundaries often change over time due to factors like erosion, growth, and ecological shifts. Sucellos may represent the natural forces that bring about such transformations, both in the physical world and in the lives of individuals. On a more symbolic level, Sucellos could be seen as a Deuos who breaks down divisions between people. This might be interpreted as a call for unity, cooperation, and the dissolution of artificial barriers that separate communities or individuals. In this sense, Sucellos could be invoked to promote inclusivity and harmony.
Sucellos may also be associated with overcoming obstacles or limitations. Just as natural processes can break down physical boundaries, he could represent the power to overcome personal barriers, whether they are psychological, emotional, or social. Sucellos might be called upon to help individuals push past their limits and achieve personal growth. In the face of rapid environmental changes or shifting circumstances, Sucellos represents the ability to adapt and thrive. Destruction of old boundaries may be necessary for new growth and adaptation to occur. This aspect of Sucellos may be particularly relevant in an era marked by environmental challenges and societal changes. Destruction of boundaries can also be associated with chaos and renewal. In some mythologies, chaos precedes creation, and boundaries are torn down to make way for a new order. Sucellos might be seen as a Deuos who guides people through times of chaos and helps them find new beginnings.
What about Nantosueltâ
While Sucellos is associated with the destruction and transformation of boundaries, Nantosueltâ complements this by representing the nurturing and life-affirming aspects of existence. Together they form a duo that encapsulates the natural cycles of life, death, and rebirth. Her connection to the bestowal of prosperity highlights the idea that the destruction of old boundaries can serve as a catalyst for renewal and growth. In this context, Sucellos’s role as a Deuos who can break down boundaries takes on a more positive connotation. The destruction of the old paves the way for the emergence of the new, symbolizing the eternal cycles of life in which boundaries are continually transformed.
An aspect of her which includes nurturing the natural world and potentially having a domestic influence, adds layers of complexity to the concept of destroying boundaries. It suggests that boundaries can be both protective and constraining (domestic) while also being part of the deeper chthonic forces of the Earth. This duality highlights the delicate balance between preserving and breaking boundaries as necessary for the flourishing of life. She is often seen in the presence of carrion birds this can signify her intimate connection to mortality and the afterlife. This adds to the idea that boundaries, especially the boundary between life and death, are not static but subject to transformation. Sucellos, as a Deuos associated with boundary dissolution, may work in concert with Nantosueltâ to guide souls through the process of transition and transformation.
In her role as a guide through the intricate cycles of existence, from birth to death, aligns closely with the cyclical nature of boundaries. Just as life and death are part of an eternal cycle, so too are boundaries continually changing. Sucellos’s role in destroying boundaries may be seen as an integral part of these cycles, where the old must make way for the new to emerge.
Sucellos is more directly associated with the creation, protection, and sometimes destruction of boundaries.
Nantosueltâ complements these ideas by emphasizing the nurturing, life-sustaining aspects within those boundaries.
Once you site with the Deuoi and give worship to them they start to show you aspects of them. I think its fairly easy for me with these two as for the last 8 years everyday I have been participating in Sumatreiâ (Good Relationship).
You never know what whispers you will hear in the Nemeton.
